The Boy Wasn’t Left Out

She was watching a group of teenagers playing soccer.
They were laughing, shouting, and running after the ball.

But one boy stood alone near the goal.
He wasn’t moving much, and he looked left out.

She felt worried.
She thought he was lonely and being ignored.

She decided to help him.
As she walked toward him, she was already thinking about what kind words to say.

Then she asked him why he was standing alone.

The boy looked at her calmly and said,
“Because I’m the goalie.”
